PARIS AND SURROUNDING AREA -
FRANCE - THE WORLD
Carlo Sarrabezolles, sculptor of the monumental and the ornamental,
portraitist, as much a carver as a modeller, used a wide range of
materials, from marble to bronze. An innovator, in 1926 he invented direct
carving in setting concrete, giving this new
material an artistic dimension. Witness of his times, his work is
characterised by its strength, its realism touched with decorative
stylisation. His role is recognised by the architects and figurative
artists of his time.
